The objectives of this conference will be:

- To understand the causes and driving forces of African migrations and their complex links with development;

- To reflect on the lack of awareness and violation of the rights of African migrants;

- To propose a collective reflection on the possible paths of evolution of this human phenomenon in order in particular to ensure the effectiveness of the Convention on the Protection of All Rights of Migrants and Members of Their Families of 18 March 1990 (in force since 2003).
