Africa on the move
We are pleased to present here the projects undertaken by the association.
Organized by REFORMAF
We have three very enriching days of training in the vibrant city of Abidjan.
The aim of this training was to:
better understand the causes and drivers of African migrations and their complex links with development;
reflecting and discussing the lack of awareness and violation of the rights of African migrants which have become subjects of international concern, as evidenced by the slavery of African migrants revealed recently, has shown the horror that these migrants experience;
to examine and collectively reflect on possible ways of evolving this human phenomenon in order in particular to ensure the effectiveness of the Convention on the Protection of All Rights of Migrants and Members of Their Families of 18 March 1990 (in force since 2003).

"From October 26 to 28, our first training workshop on "African Migration, Human Rights and Development" took place in Abidjan. This workshop, conducted in collaboration with Swiss and Ivorian institutions, brought together more than 50 people and provided a comprehensive overview of national and international migration. The participants showed great interest in this topic, which sparked rich contributions and discussions. Experts, researchers, members of civil society, and migrants themselves were brought together in the hope of working together on migration issues and developing collaborations and shared perspectives for the future. The main idea that emerged from these exchanges was that migration should be viewed as a resource for development rather than a problem, and therefore we should strive to make our borders more flexible."
